Yumlo Baby

Terms of Use

Effective 28 September 2026 · Last updated 28 September 2026

Yumlo is not medical advice

Yumlo Baby gives general information about starting solids and introducing allergens. It doesn't diagnose, treat or replace your pediatrician. Talk to a health professional before introducing allergens, especially if your baby has eczema, a known allergy, or a family history of allergies. If your baby has trouble breathing, swelling of the face or lips, or seems very unwell, call your local emergency number (911 in the US, 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU) right away.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Karanayakage Janindu Hansaka, the developer of Yumlo Baby ("Yumlo", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Yumlo.

If you downloaded Yumlo from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms and Apple's conflict, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.

2. Who can use Yumlo

You must be at least 18 years old. Yumlo is for parents, guardians and the caregivers they invite. You're responsible for the information you enter about your baby and your family.

3. Your account and family

4. Yumlo Pro subscriptions

Safety features are always free: logging reactions, the emergency screen, and allergy and "do not give" warnings are never behind Yumlo Pro.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't:

6. Your content and ours

You own what you add to Yumlo, such as meal logs, notes and photos. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to run the service for you and the people in your family, as described in the Privacy Policy. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

The app, its design, illustrations and food and allergen guides belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app while you follow these terms.

7. About the information in Yumlo

We try to keep food, texture and allergen guidance accurate and in line with widely published guidance, but it's general and may not suit every baby. Guidance differs between countries and changes over time. Always use your own judgment, supervise your baby while they eat, and follow your health professional's advice.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Yumlo and delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy & data. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel it in iOS Settings too. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk, and we'll tell you why when we can.

9. Disclaimers

Yumlo is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that syncing, reminders or notifications will always be delivered on time. Don't rely on Yumlo notifications for anything urgent.

10. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made based on general information in the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to Yumlo is limited to the amount you paid us for Yumlo Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if that's more.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. If you live in the EU or UK, you keep all the protections your local consumer law gives you.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as Yumlo changes. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Yumlo after that, the new terms apply.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you can also rely on the mandatory laws of your country and bring claims in your local courts.
